A detour into the trivialities that comprise the days of my life.

Post-Op
I have survived my surgery. One general anesthetic, two incisions, and one titanium screw later, my clavicle is essentially back in once piece. Hooray for oxycodone.

They gave you OC for that???
Considering your extremely low tolerance to pain, I think you should get the script refilled and save some for me.
Dude. They put a 5" screw through my collarbone! Two cuts, sure, but do you know how much stuff they shoved through those two incisions?
So, yeah. OC, 5mg doses. Small -- for her pleasure. 'Cause I think you mean to reference my pretty high tolerance to pain. And really low tolerance for the OC making me hug a bucket all day.
And no refills on narcotic scripts, for that matter. I was even unaware that the scripts expire within 3 days. Such regulation... and I still can't figure out why people like opiates so much.
I figure a bit attached to a pretty high speed drill... dental quality at least, which means 4800 RPM about... would have to be a good bit, first run carbide at least... then a tap to thread the bones... something to hold them bones together during the process... then the screw and the driver bit, unless the medic used a nut driver type... maybe a Tywrap or two to get things alligned...
I've injected and trussed up holiday turkeys with less.
And I did mean your low pain threshold. You've always had an extremely low pain threshold. You faint at the sight of aspirin. You need a refill, and at least 10-20 mg doses. Trust your papa.
Those who have suffered understand suffering and thereby extend their hand, especially when free pharmaceuticals are involved.
Hang in there, stuffling. Lemme know if you need me to come up. I don't start classes until the 20th. I can always inflict Kristen on your mother.
